Serving a caseload primarily composed of students in self-contained autism classrooms, the role focuses on facilitating functional skill development and enabling meaningful participation in educational activities. The position is based onsite with an expected start in mid-April through May 28, with the possibility of an earlier start. Flexible scheduling across three to five days per week is available to best accommodate candidate availability. Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals to eligible students. Collaborate closely with special education staff and classroom teams to enhance student access to learning environments and promote skill acquisition. Support students predominantly within self-contained autism programs through targeted interventions and adaptive strategies. Qualifications and Experience: Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification. Prior experience working with students on the autism spectrum is strongly preferred. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative school-based team environment.
